About WilHacks!
WilHacks is an exciting and interactive experience where high school students will be given the opportunity to demonstrate or develop their programming skills. WilHacks is a free 24 hour event at Adrian C. Wilcox High School with great food, accomodations and access to technology.You and/or your team (up to to individuals per team) will have 24 hours to create an innovative application which will be reviewed by our judges for implementation and creativity. This hackathon is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their programming skills in a competitive atmosphere as well as have an enjoyable hacking experience. How will you make a difference?
If you do not have any programming experience, this is your chance! At WilHacks you will get the chance to attend workshops, get help from out talented mentors and obtain exposure on what computer science entails. Seize the day and explore a world where anything and everything is possible :)

Friday 10/13/17
- 5:30pm - Doors open!
- 6:30pm - Opening ceremony (Intro, Rules, Challenges, Judging Criteria)
- 7:00pm - Create your teams and let's hack!
- 8:30pm - Dinner
- 12:00am - Midnight Surprise!
Saturday 10/14/17
- 7:00am - Breakfast
- 12:00pm - Lunch
- 4:00pm - Snack
- 5:30pm - Turn in final project and prepare to present to judges
- 6:00pm - Presentation & Awards
- 7:30pm/8:00pm - Closing

- Participants: Individuals in High School (between 13 and 18 years in age); Teams up to 4 people
- Countries: United States
No prior experience required.

Creativity
How creative your project will be is a prominent criteria and will be the one that earns a majority of the points. -
Functionality
This criteria is not as important as the judges understand that it is a 24 hour timed project, so points will be given as long as there is some functionality(the more functional, the more points). -
Look
How your project is designed and looks will earn points. -
Quality
The quality of your project will be judged and points will be awarded accordingly.
